Fall 2025 Internship Program

We are currently seeking three interns for Fall 2025. This internship program offers three tracks over three months, structured as remote or hybrid roles. The positions are unpaid but school credit is available. Designed for college students and recent graduates seeking early career development and mentorship, the program is ideal for candidates who are passionate about uplifting API voices in the arts and bring relevant experience in their area of focus. Applicants should be based in New York.



Location: Remote/Hybrid (New York)
Type: Internship (Part-time)
Duration: 3 Months
Hours: 15–18 hours per week (flexible)
Compensation: Unpaid; school credit available

 EXHIBITION & PROGRAMMING

What You’ll Do:



  • Exhibition/Event Coordination: Liaising with artists, galleries, institutions, or other venues to support pre-production and production.
  • Registrar: Manage and maintain records of artworks, sponsorships, and exhibition/event-related information.
  • Educational Event: Research and identify API artists with current exhibitions for potential social media features and collaborations.
  • Newsletter Maintenance: Support upkeep and updates for Civil Art’s audiences.
  • Database Management: Organize and update internal project databases, keeping information clear and accessible.
  • General Support: Participate in team meetings, contribute to brainstorming sessions, and assist with day-to-day administrative tasks.


Qualifications:


  • Recently graduated or currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (school credit required).
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Google Workspace, and
    presentation platforms such as Pitch (or similar) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Passionate about amplifying API voices in the arts.
 Qualifications:


  • Recently graduated or currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (school credit required).
  • Students pursuing degrees in Art History, Arts Management, or Graphic Design are preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Passionate about amplifying API voices in the arts.

VIDEO & MEDIA


What You’ll Do:



  • Video Production & Editing: Film and edit videos for virtual and in-person programs, including artist talks, panels, and exhibition walkthroughs.
  • Social Media Content Creation: Develop short-form video content (e.g. reels, stories,
    teasers) to support program promotion across social media platforms.
  • Post-Production: Manage editing timelines, incorporate motion graphics or subtitles when needed, and export content in required formats.
  • Archival Support: Organize and maintain an archive of video assets for internal use and external promotion.
  • General Support: Participate in team meetings, contribute to brainstorming sessions, and assist with day-to-day administrative tasks.


Qualifications:


  • Recently graduated or currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (school credit required).
  • Students pursuing degrees in Film, Media Studies, Communications, Art, or a related field are preferred but not required.
  • Strong video editing skills and prior editing experience are required.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro is highly preferred.
  • Comfortable filming and editing content independently.
  • Strong sense of visual storytelling and a passion for the arts—especially in ways that resonate with API communities.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Passionate about amplifying API voices in the arts.
